Website Development Terms
Commercial terms for website development projects.
How These Terms Fit
These terms apply to website projects and form part of your signed Agreement together with the approved scope and quote and our General terms. If they conflict, the signed scope and quote come first, then these terms, then the General terms.
Agreed Scope and Pages
The quote lists the pages, features and deliverables included. Anything not listed is out of scope. Typical delivery is about 7 Business Days under ideal conditions (a clearly defined scope, everything provided on time, no back-and-forth), counted as set out in the General terms. Changes and variations are not part of that commitment: each takes at least 24 to 48 hours, depending on the Agency's workload.
Revision Rounds
The price includes the limited number of revision rounds written in the quote. A round means one set of consolidated feedback sent together. Further rounds, or changes after approval of a stage, are quoted as additional work.
Your Content and Assets
You provide text, images, logos and other material unless the quote says we will source or write it. You confirm you own or have the right to use everything you give us and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law. We are not responsible for claims arising from material you supply. Stock images, fonts and other third-party items carry their own licences, which we will tell you about and which you must follow.
Pricing and Additional Work
Starting-from prices cover the scope in the quote. Extra pages, e-commerce, integrations, custom features, copywriting, image sourcing and extra revisions are priced separately. We do additional work only after you approve a written change to scope, price and timeline.
Payment, Timing and Late Delivery
Payment, the start of work, Business Days, client delays, late delivery and force majeure work as set out in the General terms and the Payment and refund policy.
Testing and Launch
We test the site on common devices and browsers before launch. The site is treated as accepted when you approve it or 7 days after we ask you to review it without you raising a defect.
Hosting, Domain and Maintenance
Hosting, domain registration, email and ongoing support or maintenance are agreed per project. Unless the quote says we provide them, you are responsible for them. Accounts and domains should be registered in your name.
Search and Results
We build sites that follow good technical SEO practice. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, enquiries or sales, which depend on many factors outside our control.
Accessibility and Legal Content
We build with accessibility in mind and aim for WCAG 2.2 AA where feasible, but you are responsible for the legal content of your site, such as your privacy policy, cookie notices and any industry-specific requirements, unless the quote says we will provide them.
Ownership and Handover
When you have paid in full you own the website design and content created for you, apart from third-party items and our pre-existing tools (see General terms). Until full payment we may withhold handover. We hand over the files and access listed in the quote.
White-Label
If you are an agency reselling our work under your own brand, we will not credit ourselves on the site or to your client unless you agree. You remain responsible to your own client.
